The PJIP was founded and is directed by Sam Andrews, who holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Birmingham.

The work of the PJIP is also guided by an international committee of scholars that represent some of the world's largest academic organisations. Committee members provide much-welcomed advice to the project and play a crucial role in its outputs.
