About

The PJIP was founded and is run by Sam Andrews, who created the project during his doctoral studies to address some of the challenges researchers face when deciding where to publish their work.

Originally developed as a resource for academic philosophers, the PJIP’s scope has since expanded to serve the broader academic community. Today, the initiative provides accessible, reliable, and standardised insights to support informed publishing decisions across all fields of research.

Sam continues to run the PJIP with a focus on increasing transparency and improving the efficiency of academic publishing.
